No. Currently, Socrait is using OpenAI. Open AI provides data controls that allow us to explicitly disable data sharing, which prohibits OpenAI from using transcript data for model training, product improvements, or any other purpose. Socrait uses all of those controls.
In addition, Socrait has executed a signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with OpenAI in which the company agrees, in writing, to process customer data only for the purpose of providing and supporting OpenAI’s services, in compliance with the written instructions provided by Socrait, and in a manner that conforms with data privacy laws.
If we switch to another AI provider, we will ensure there are similar agreements in place.
In addition, please remember that student names are not sent to any outside AI vendor. Names are anonymized in the data first.
